.screenrc
-
Starts up my screen with irssi, bash, and irb running
-
-
this is another file that ive pieced together from a few different sources. the keybindings are espically useful here, since i often have 10 or so windows open in any given screen session that i run anymore. I've streamlined the navigation as well as possible, as well as throwing down other helpful toys (though the file still stayed amazingly small for all the cool stuff it does).
-
I try to keep screen pretty trim. The important parts for me are utf-8 support and the titles. I've been meaning to move away from ctrl-a, but.
-
this is messy as i just took random things from others. -.-

Nothin' special (Like always)

I was pretty happy when I figured out I would change C-a.

2 Shells with a Bottom bar
-
Pretty basic gnu screen configuration
-
leave the ctrl-a to emacs and bash. share the paste buffer with X
-
Use Ctrl-F as command key.
Memorable key commands to split windows, switch windows, monitor.
Nice status line at bottom to list windows, highlight active window, and show current date/time.
Client applications see TERM=screen rather than TERM=linux which works better with some terminfo packages.

This file contains the prettiest caption windowlist you ever did see.

Pretty simple. Some autostart stuff, utf8, and a pretty status line.

GNOME Terminal Command: screen -U -d -RR

pretty standard, ctrl+x instead of ctrl+a

My ~/.screenrc with some windows opening at screen startup and color support
-
Noting special, just use Ctrl-T instead of Ctrl-A for the action key (like ratpoison).
-
pretty pretty, copied from all sources :)

Default keybindings with a nice looking red window list caption bar. I designed it specifically with nested screens in mind - I use a unique escape key and color on each host I regularly work on.
